27/10/2007 - Frankly I should have written this sooner, the B-Movie project has been completed and the Gateway Club managed yet again to surpass all of the goals set. Not only did they write, act,direct and construct scenenery, they also turned their hand to composing film music, which they performed and recorded to the film rushes for inclusion in the final project. The premier was a massive success attended my local dignitaries such as the Mayor of Dacorum and other councilors. We are now looking to submitt this film to some film festivals along with the preceeding film 'The Silent Movie'. Hopefully we will be able to entice people along to these showings for all to see the potential the Gateway have. Incidently next year could very well see a multi media pantomime by the group watch this space!
31/01/2007 –Yesterday evening, work started on the new Gateway Club Movie. The project started with great success and the members of the group began work on the story and characters for their film.
This is a big step up from last year’s silent movie, where the story was prewritten for the group, and should make the film more unique.
Work begins next month on the scenery and costumes for the film.
